My Work

My latest book is with Fonthill Media awaiting publication. A fresh approach to the life of tarot artist, Pamela Colman Smith, who died in Bude, the research/book questions some commonly held assumptions about this talented illustrator who died in Bude. Currently, I am researching the equally intriguing life of Charlotte Payne-Townshend, wife of the playwright, George Bernard Shaw, a fascinating woman in her own right, who helped to found the London School of Economics (LSE).

                                A little about me!

Non-fiction writer

I profess to have a limited imagination, so I tend towards non-fiction writing. In my reading and film preferences, I have always enjoyed social realism, which probably explains my predisposition towards non-fiction writing. People tell me this is easier than writing fiction. I tell them to check out the research that is imperative in writing non-fiction, and then tell me how easy it is! However, variety in writing, truth and authenticity are imperative whatever we write, and we can all try our best to achieve that.

Writing is easy. All you have to do is cross out the wrong words.
